Nationally recognized for her work in nutrition, diabetes care, and public health, Dr. Sarah Ruiz, PhD, RD, LD, CDCES, FAND, is the founder and CEO of Sun City Dietitians. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and recipient of the 2025 SOPHE M. Elaine Auld Horizon Award and 2025 Miner Business Trailblazer Award.

With more than 13 years of clinical experience and a background in culinary arts from Le Cordon Bleu, Dr. Ruiz combines nutrition science with practical, personalized care. Her expertise includes diabetes, pediatric and sports nutrition, fertility and pregnancy, gastrointestinal conditions, nutrition support, and chronic disease management.

Dr. Ruiz is also an Assistant Professor of Human Nutrition and Dietetic Science at New Mexico State University and has taught at The University of Texas at El Paso for more than a decade. A published nutrition scientist and national speaker, she is committed to expanding access to evidence-based nutrition care while helping individuals and families feel more confident about food and their health.
