FOUNDER
I am a registered dietitian, certified diabetes educator and chef in the Paso del Norte region.I have always had a passion for helping people make healthier choices while still enjoying what they eat.
Prior to becoming a dietitian, I completed a culinary degree (AS) at Le Cordon Bleu in Austin, Texas. I went on to receive my nutrition education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) at New Mexico State University "NMSU" and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I completed my doctoral degree (PhD) at the University of Texas at El Paso "UTEP" in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences, where I am currently adjunct faculty.
I have over 9 years of experience as a dietitian educating children, teens, and their families in areas such as nutrition and diabetes. I currently conduct research in the areas of nutrition and chronic disease prevention to develop evidenced-based cooking programs.
